My two week Summer Break

As the hot weather started to creep up on all of us throughout the Gulf I was really looking forward to my lovely vacay which this year I decided to split between London and Turkey.

London bought the rain and the rain and even more rain with a hint of the 2012 Olympic excitement. London was buzzing with that summer feel it is known for and I got all caught up in it.

I managed to fit in a LOT of shopping walking around Oxford Street and meandering through Bicester Village on the prowl for the best deals.

As I chilled in St. James Park I caught up on the outdoors as well as my reading wish list in addition to the little sunshine that London offered when I was there.

My favorite part of the trip had to be The Lovebox Festival where I was able to catch Lana Del Ray and Emeli Sande belt out some fantastic tunes!

Marmaris Island in Turkey was my ‘suntan’ time! I managed to lay by the beach and swim in the ocean all without the scorching heat and suffocating humidity that haunts us throughout the Gulf. Food was delicious, Turkish coffee was abundant, bazaars were lively and the people were welcoming!
